Dreadful regime in Kashmir
China and Suadia appealed to play role – Muhammad Farooq Rehmani
Islamabad, 02 Aug, 2010: Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has strongly condemned curfew, unabated arrests of teenagers and aged citizens under the infamous law of PSA; indiscriminate use of bullets, teargas- shells, baton-charging inside private compounds by Police, and crack-down in all parts of Kashmir to quell the most popular and peaceful uprising against the Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed grave concern over some ignominious methods being used by the Omar regime’s establishment and police force to humiliate and intimidate citizens in their homes. He said number of students and youth had been killed, Imams of mosques, women and children beaten and rebuked, economic, political, educational and daily life crippled brutally by the regime’s police and yet they are snatching from the people their peaceful right to cry and protest.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that the people in Kashmir were now determined to continue their mass struggle on streets without fear for freedom of their mother Kasheer, and would compel the neighboring states to articulate their support for them on the international level. He said that both UN and OIC had prime responsibilities to address the current Kashmir situation without qualms or they would loose their relevance before the freedom loving nations of the world. He hoped that China as a neighbor and firm believer in the right of self determination of Kashmiris, Iran, Turkey and Libya as sympathizers and neighbors, and Saudi Arabia as the Custodian of Harmain-Shareefain would take cognizance of the current state of affairs caused by India’s fascist policies and designs in Kashmir. He asked them to persuade world community and Muslim world to change India’s belligerence in the region. He said that in order to rule the roost, to grab Kashmir permanently and destabilize the whole region India was now bent upon harming and weakening Pakistan. He emphasized that under these circumstances—India’s iron rod policies and conspiracies, Pakistan must initiate proactive and radical diplomatic and political policies to thwart Indian nefarious designs in the region.
