Muhammad Farooq Rehmani denounces fresh curfew restrictions

Islamabad, 13 Sep, 2010: Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has strongly condemned curfew restrictions followed by large scale arrests of youth, search operations and crackdowns throughout Kashmir. He said that India was frustrated to see a humanity raising slogans for liberation from India and hosting green slogans of freedom and right of self determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He further said that to sabotage the march of freedom towards Lal Chowk India took illegal and provocative steps to silence the masses. The Eid march was peaceful and successful and leaders and workers of this march had nothing to do with any untoward activity of burning public property. Muhammad Farooq Rehmani denounced registering of fresh cases under prosecution laws against Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and others adding that it would further deteriorate the political atmosphere in the state.
