Torture is habit of brutes. Fresh wave condemned – Muhammad Farooq Rehmani
Islamabad 16 Oct, 2010: Muhammad Farooq Rehmani Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League has strongly condemned continuous wave of killings including torture deaths by Police and paratroopers of India in Kashmir expressing great anguish over the tortured death of Ghulam Nabi Mir of Pampore survived by four daughters. Referring to a series of torture killings he said that Rafeeq Ahmad Bangroo, Muzaffar Ahmad Butt, Umar Quyoom Butt, Sameer Ahmad Rah and Muhammad Abbass were martyred by physically torturing them during the last few months and the heinous crime continues with impunity. "The intentional criminal practice forces the Kashmiris to reinforce their peaceful protests and never kneel down before India’s repression until they achieve their human- esteem and right to self determination," he remarked. He warned that India was on the war path with the people and task of her interlocutors was only to demean the situation in Kashmir. He said if Indian authorities had license to kill the people with impunity, the world must support people’s right to stand against these killers.
