Islamabad 30, Nov, 2010: Muhammad Farooq Rehmani Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s  Freedom League had expressed profound shock and condemned killings of innocent youth by police in Qamarwari Srinagar. The martyred youth in the procession hailed from Srinagar, Bandipora and Sopore and were targeted without any provocation.

He denounced sedition charges in a Delhi Court against Syed Ali Geelani, Arundhati Roy and others saying that the law of treason was not applicable to any Kashmiri fighting for the right of self determination or their Indian supporters as promised by the fathers of the Indian constitution.

On the other hand he said the Indian authorities are liable to be prosecuted for carrying on a long drawn campaign of genocide in Kashmir. He said that such victimization of Kashmiri leaders or young men or their sympathizers in India would automatically aggravate the situation and adds fuel to fire in the volatile situation of the region.

He urged on the saner element among Indians to come forward and stop their self-interested establishment from taking recourse to extreme undemocratic steps against the people of Kashmir who were engaged in a historical movement of the right of self determination and not secession from a country.

Islam’s philosophy of Sacrifice-Conspiracy against Kashmir—Interlocutors and unabated terror:Rehmani

November 16, 2010 Leave a comment

Islamabad 16 November2010:Muhammad Farooq Rehmani Chairman Jammu And Kashmir People’s Freedom League has congratulated the Pakistanis and the Kashmiris on Eid ud Duha the day to recall and to celebrate the glorious practice of Berahimi sacrifice, Hajj and the reviving of the great tradition by Prophet Muhammad (PUB) fourteen hundred years before, when He gained victory over the forces of vice and ignorance—contributing in an unforgettable and magnificent manner to humanity and human knowledge. The people of Kashmir, he said were fighting for freedom of their homeland according to the principles taught by this philosophy and would continue the struggle until victory.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has expressed great concern over not including Kashmir in the yearly disputed list of the United Nations. He termed it a conspiracy to tarnish the image of the World Body, as it had happened when the Kashmiris were rendering great sacrifices for freedom. He  emphasized the importance of exposing= the game-plan—urging Pakistan to take immediate steps in this regard, convening an emergency session of the contact Group of OIC to insist the vulnerability of the issue and further ask the UN to declare it the most important issue to be resolved in line with the Charter of the United Nations.

Regarding the activities of interlocutors in Kashmir he said it was nothing but a mirage to keep the people in good humour and to make the struggle of the people ineffective. Otherwise the regime would have stopped arrests and released detenues on Eid, he said. He said India had even disallowed aspirants to go to Mecca for Hajj. He said that India and her agents were on the one hand harping on the so called trade cum travel activities along  LOC, but India’s hypocrisy was exposed by its inhuman step to deprive children and parents of their Passports to see their dear ones in Pakistan. He said that hundreds of such cases had been kept under carpet for so called political reasons leaving many parents and children in the trauma of separation. How can they be sincere? he questioned. The need of the hour is to address the real demand of the Kashmiris not to waste the time of the people by hollow claims he stressed.

India continue to play with the basic human rights in Kashmir

November 12, 2010 Leave a comment

Islamabad 13 Nov 2010(PR): Muhammad Farooq Rehmani Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League has warned of a catastrophic situation for the sea of humanity in South Asia in case of India’s continued intransigence over her Kashmir policy. He said that India continued to play with the basic human rights of the Kashmir by trampling them under its feet for so long persistently and ignominiously. India was behaving with the people like the ancient Egypt’s Pharaoh; killing youth, throwing innocent people in prisons and using inhuman third degree methods against them as if they were sheep and goats. There only fault was the cry for the right of self determination, he remarked.

He said that the Kashmiris would never abandon their struggle for the achievement of the right to self determination, as it was the right granted by Allah to humanity, and the United Nations was nothing without this foundation– adding that the Kashmiris in every decade sacrificed their human blood for it, they would not accept any other solution contrary to it. ”The graveyards spread across the state during the last 20 years proves India’s blood-thirst policies in Kashmir,” he said. He further Reminded that India would have to quit Kashmir, as did every colonial power such as; Italy from Libya, France from Algeria and Britain from India. However, he hoped that if India left Kashmir peacefully and honourably; Kashmir would be a good neighbour and address India’s security concerns in the region. Referring to Barrack Obama’s three day stay in India, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said although the Kashmiris got dismayed by his silence over the human rights violations of India in Kashmir when the US President took note of the abuses in Myanmer, when it was his moral and legal duty to focus upon India’s killings in Kashmir, but it is clear that the President was concerned on the repercussions of tension between India and Pakistan– advising both of them to remove the basic irritant in their relations. Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said whatever the conditions in the world the Kashmiris would continue to fight for the achievement of the right to self determination and would surprise the world by their determination and success.
