Lesson to learn on Pakistan Day-Farooq Rehmani
Islamabad, 22 Mar, 2011(KGN): Muhammad Farooq Rehmani Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League has eulogized deep insight and great work of the thinkers of Pakistan movement who with their tireless endeavour accomplished the task of building Muslim nationhood in South Asia. He said that Pakistan looked like a quixotic plan to the Indian National Congress and its leadership awaiting its failure. But the endeavour and statesmanship of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah falsified their predictions. It was founded and in the long run inspiring many smaller nations and peoples of the world for struggle. He said that the newly founded state was not a mere addition to the crescent world; it was a conception that moved the world and contributed to Muslim polity and Islamic renaissance in the region.
He said the 23 March, 1940 resolution, was perfectly based upon the principle of the right of self determination;
undeterred, and unfettered democracy, equally applicable to other nations and princely states of India. Had other major communities and linguistic groups at that time supported the political philosophy of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the current situation would have been different. Today’s India would not be inclined to neo imperialism. Creation of independent states would be a deterrent to the fascist philosophy of Hinduveta, as preached by modern India’s extremist Hindu organizations.He said Quaid-i-Azam visited Srinagar in 1945 to create awareness for his political ideology among the Kashmiris, and he was given an unprecedented welcome by every section of the society. But latter the Congress leadership with the help of the Governor General of India hatched a conspiracy to grab Kashmir by military might despite an agreement between Pakistan and Maharaja of Kashmir; to deprive the people of their right to exercise their freewill.The region had since then been harvesting bitterness and animosity between Pakistan and India, but the people of Kashmir had been fighting for the cause of freedom which was denied to them by Congress and the ruler of British India in 1947.Today, the Kashmiris salute their brave ancestors, who laid down their lives for the sacred cause of freedom. He said that denial to the right of self determination was the root cause of poisonous atmosphere in the sub continent, which could not be ended by keeping Kashmiris hanging between devil and deep blue sea for long. He urged on the youngsters of Pakistan to remember the founding father of Pakistan and philosopher poet of the state and their concept of Kashmir and frustrate all conspiracies to slump it in oblivion.
