Don’t ignore Kashmir in new rules of engagement─ Farooq Rehmani

Islamabad(PR) May 21, 2012: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has urged on the Policy planners of Pakistan to underscore Kashmir in the new rules of business and engagement with America and the Nato, meant for resuming supplies to Afghanistan. He said that under the new policy of engagement a just and honourable solution of Kashmir should also be recognized as important as the Nato supply from Pakistan to Afghanistan. The US ambitions in war-torn/tormented Hindu-Kush region must be equally matched by Pakistan’s long standing just demand for the solution of Kashmir. id, “Kashmir can’t regain its role and Pakistan can’t seize this golden opportunity, unless Kashmir and the Kashmiris are placed on the top priority of well-founded negotiations with the United States. Police- Raid against Rafiq Ganai condemned by Farooq Rehmani

Islamabad May 21, 2012(PR):Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League Muhammad Farooq Rehmani today condemned a heavy police raid on the residence of Muhammad Rafiq Ganai General Secretary PFL in Bagat Srinagar Kashmir early dawn, causing harassment in his family and anger in the locality. He said that the police raid showed regime’s failure to grant equal rights of free speech and movement to all the parties irrespective of their political views.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said, “the police and army repression will not prevent people from the their peaceful struggle for freedom and right of self-determination.”

Farooq Rehmani paid Tribute to martyrs of 21 May 1990 and 2002

Islamabad May 21, 2012(PR):Chairman J&K People’s Freedom League Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has hailed the sacrifices of Moulvi Muhammad Farooq and Khawja Abdul Ghani Lone on their martyrdom anniversary, and all those martyrs who were brutally gunned down by Indian troops, when they were carrying the funeral of Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq in Srinagar on that fateful day of 21 May, 1990.He said that the great sacrifices of martyrs would never go vain. The people would continue their struggle to the end to achieve the right of self-determination. Mirwaiz Moulvi Farooq and Kh.AbdulGhani Lone were martyred by unknown assailants on 21 May,1990, and 2002 respectively in Srinagar.

Islamabad| May 14, 2012: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League has termed any unilateral shift or flexibility on the right of self-determination disastrous for the cause of the Kashmiris, urging upon the signatories of the UN resolutions on Kashmir and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to equally mount pressure on India for honoring her commitments with the Kashmiris. He said, “the Kashmiris have been groaning under the army-backed, absolutely, harsh, inhuman, and tyrannical laws for the last 22 years, and no soft approach by Pakistan or Kashmir guides India towards reason and morality. Several times Pakistan made overtures of peace towards India, and some Kashmiri/Pakistani diplomats offered proposals to resolve the Kashmir dispute, but India believes in stubbornness and coercion; not even ready to grant basic freedoms and rights to the people of Kashmir.” Read more…
