Farooq Rehmani Paid tribute to Renowned Shaheed leader – Nazir Ahmad Shah on his 18th anniversary

Islamabad, 15 Jun, 2012: Muhammad Farooq Rehmani Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League has paid glowing tributes to Nazir Ahmad Shah a leading freedom fighter and Commander J&K Jihad Force who championed the cause of freedom from his student life in 1970s to 15 June 1994, when he was arrested by special task force of Police(STF) only to be murdered brutally in custody the same day. He was a very popular young freedom fighter and political leader, who had challenged Sheikh Abdullah in a Public gathering in Bandipora in 1975 by asking questions on the internal autonomy, when the latter was leading a valley wide campaign of accord with the then Indian Prime minister Indra Gandhi.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that his contribution to Kashmir Kashmir cause is un-forgettable. He further said that the martyred leader remained dedicated to his mission till the day of his martyrdom. Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said the mission of Kashmir’s freedom will continue till its logical end.

Today on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of Shaheed Nazir Ahmad Shah, people offered Fateh at his grave in Bandipora. J&K People’s Freedom League at its office in Srinagar held a special meeting to commemorate martyrdom anniversary of Nazir Ahmad Shah, throwing light on his political life and sacrifices for the cause of Kashmir.
