President of India should recognize Kashmir-Muhammad Farooq Rehmani

Islamabad, 26 Sept 2012(PR) :The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, while emphasizing  the need  of resolving  the Jammu and Kashmir conflict in line with the principle of self-determination  and a sincere dialogue between the three concerned parties, asked the visiting President of India  Pranab Mukherjee to redeem the pledge of a UN sponsored plebiscite as made by the founding fathers of the freedom movement with the Kashmiris in late 1940s and 1950s.He said the President by this act could leave his  deep foot-prints on the history as a leader of peace and conflict resolution. He said all the three parties and their representatives should sit together to settle the longest conflict after the World War11. Read more…

European Union should take notice of Anti-Islam Caricatures–Muhammad Farooq Rehmani

The Chairman of The Jammu & Kashmir People’s Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has strongly condemned the anti-Prophet PBUH caricatures of a French magazine Charlie Hebdo to that is to be republished and re-sold in large numbers on Friday, across Europe, urging the European Union to ban the controversial copies and its distribution in Europe. He said whether it was the ant-Islam US film or were the profane French caricatures or any other insulting material, there was no justification in the name of the freedom of speech or right to humiliating caricatures in any religion, or universal moral code. Islamabad 17 Sept 2012:The Chairman of The Jammu and Kashmir People’s freedom league has strongly denounced the making and airing of the most ignominious and blasphemous movie about the holy prophet(SAWS),the last of all the Prophets of Allah and symbol of Prophet hood, in the united states on 9/11 deeply hurting the Muslims across the world. He said, “This profane and criminal act is a deliberate attempt to create wedge between the followers of Islam, Christianity and Judaism, use anger and anguish of Muslims as a pretext to start war against the Muslim world.” He said the protest against the anti-Islam movie “Innocence of Muslims” by the Muslims around the world was obligatory under the fundamental Muslim beliefs, so part of a natural religious phenomena; despite being furious over the sad murder of its ambassador in Benghazi, America should have swiftly acted against the makers and actors of this film; instead Washington was going to deploy forces in as much as 18 different locations in the Crescent world, which had the potential to further deteriorate its trembling relations with Muslims throughout the world. The inaction of the US Government against the makers of this grossly flagrant movie and ever-ready support to them by Florida pastor Terry John is again condemnable. UN Human Rights delegation be deputed to Kashmir-Muhammad Farooq Rehmani

Islamabad: The Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has called upon the UN to depute a high level delegation of human rights experts comprising Head of the UNHRC, and Chief Rapporteur on enforced or involuntary disappearances, custodial or extra-judicial killings and other rights violations to Jammu and Kashmir to address the sensitivity of unmarked graves, detentions, and restrictions on fundamental rights of the people. He said the step would be important from two counts: India could be prevented from inflicting brutalities on the people, and would be accountable for its unbridled terrorism, which would bring public respect to the world forum. Islamabad, 07 September, 2012. The Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has urged Pakistan and India to take stock of the unrest in Kashmir caused by draconian laws, tyranny, and threats to the demographic and cultural character of the State. He said India had deprived the people of their basic human rights and democratic rights, in order to crush the 65 year old demand for plebiscite under the united nation’s auspices. The plebiscite as promised by then leadership of India and recognized by the UNCIP in 1949, was delayed and sabotaged by India herself; jeopardizing peace in the region and forcing the inhabitants of Kashmir to articulate their grievances against it. The regime resorted to brute force and suppression of civil liberties. Since then there was anger and turmoil in the peaceful society, and Indian army and police were fomenting the trouble by their continued presence and repressive measures. Srinagar 06 September 2012(PR): An unusual meeting of The Jammu and Kashmir People Freedom League was today held here, to discuss the current political situation besides organizational matters. The Chairman of the organization Muhammad Farooq Rehmani addressed the meeting telephonically from Islamabad.
Muhammad Rafiq Ganai, General Secretary, Muhammad Altaf Khan, Chief Organiser, Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah, Haji Ghulam Ahmad, Arshad Aziz and other members attended the session of the People’s Freedom League. While reviewing the Current regional and international situation and its bearing on the Kashmir Conflict, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that nothing could be a substitute to the right of self-determination, without which no Pakistan-India agreement could guarantee peace and reconciliation in Jammu and Kashmir.
