Eid ul Azha is peace, service and sacrifice

Muslims are torchbearers of Ibrahimi traditions: Muhammad Farooq Rehmani

Muzaffarabad, Aug 21 (PR): Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League/ ex-Convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, in his Eid message of congratulations to all the Muslims has said that the Muslims are the torch-bearers of the Abrahimic faith and traditions as revealed on Muhammad PBUH in Quran by Allah. Therefore, all the present day problems faced by humanity require focus of the Muslim states across the globe. Muslims should take note of their responsibilities and give solutions to vexing world disputes to save the humanity from death and destruction. He emphasized that it was the first and foremost duty of the Muslim rulers, politicians and scholars to abide by the teachings and traditions of Hazrat Ibrahim AS so that the others follow suit; failing which the humanity could face God’s wrath on the Earth in any form and manifestation. He expressed disappointment over failure of the Muslim Governments in addressing the problems and dangers to the life and honour of the Muslims by the enemies of Islam. The rulers seemed callously indifferent to sorrowful and pitiable state of affairs of the Muslims. He said the helpless Muslims were facing hell-fire in Kashmir, Palestine, Burma, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, etc. because the Muslim leadership had forgotten and ignored the divine concept of accountability before Allah and Prophet Muhammad PBUH. The leadership loved wealth and feared Great powers but no fear of God or loved the Prophet (PBUH).

He expressed grave concern over the nefarious Indian designs to destroy geography and history of Jammu and Kashmir and bring demographic changes to perpetuate her military occupation of the State. For this purpose numerical strength and fighting capability of the army is being constantly reviewed and increased and the political movement is being crushed with brute force. He appealed to the UN, EU, and OIC to take note of the recently published report of the Human Rights Commissioner on Kashmir and initiate solid and substantial steps for addressing the plight of the Kashmiris and resolving the long standing dispute in accordance with the UN charter and resolutions. He warned India that despite coercive methods of using bullets, pellets, and imprisonments outside the state the people of the State on this Eid again reject all attempts to repeal the century old State Resident law, and related clauses of the Indian constitution acknowledging special historical status of the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
