PFL pays tribute to 1947 martyrs Jammu

Srinagar, 06 Nov: Spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League in a statement today on the Martyrs Day of Jammu said that the people of Jammu Kashmir hold dear the cause of the martyrs and continue their political struggle for the liberation of the State.

PFL spokesman while paying glowing tributes to the great sacrifice of the Jammu martyrs, said that the tragic episode of the massacre of Jammu Muslims was certainly brutal and dreadful, when on 6, 7, 8, November 1947; about 300,000 innocent and unarmed Muslims were martyred by Hindu terrorist groups in the name of sending them to Pakistan. They along with their children and women were killed, raped and kidnapped.

He said that the tragic episode took place when the Indian army was in the state and the UNO had been founded after the 2nd World war in America. He sad the massacre of the Muslims of Jammu was a glaring example of human rights violations. He said the criminal agencies were still there who organized the massacre of Jammu Muslims in 1947.He reminded that the people in the Kashmir valley saved Kashmiri Hindus at that time, but in Jammu fanatics and terrorists killed lakhs of Jammu Muslims. He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir would never forget the great human sacrifice of their brothers and would not rest till the Kashmiris achieve the goal freedom and right to self determination.

He also paid tributes to recent martyred youth of Shopian and condemn the killings spree of civilians by Indian forces in Kashmir.
